Aiuchi Published
Two swordsmiths on the same mountain, each convinced the other is the reason his own work falls short. Neither of them can leave it alone.

Original Sin Published
The crew of the Durante make first contact a long way from any help, and find out fairly quickly that staying alive and doing the right thing aren't the same job.

Ravenous Published
A wound strips Lord de Grey of everything he was brought up to be, and what is left underneath is hungry. Brother Anselm has seen it happen before, at Constantinople. But he is an almoner in a worn habit, and nobody listens to almoners.

DRVID Current work
Mona has burned. A druid initiate walks home to find her king has already signed with Rome. Her own order took her tongue years ago, so everything she says has to go through somebody else — and she has one season to do what she came back for.

About
I write novels. Mostly historical — 1550s Japan, thirteenth-century Suffolk, Roman Britain — and science fiction when the idea won't sit anywhere else. I do a lot of research, and I try not to let it show.
Three are out so far: Aiuchi, Original Sin and Ravenous. I'm writing DRVID at the moment, which is the one I've been circling for years.
Away from the desk I do Japanese calligraphy, shoot film, and build software. I live between England and France.
